I am reading a book and one of the characters was saying that the trick to lying is to lie to yourself first, make yourself believe it's the truth. It got me to thinking: is lying worth all the trouble? Is it worth digging yourself into a deep hole? Worth having to tell millions of lies to cover just one lie? Worth having to remember every lie?
Don't get me wrong I lie and I'm kinda good at it. Even so, I don't know if it's worth all the trouble. Especially when the truth is sometimes easier. From this moment forward, I vow to try to lie less often and I hope people reading this will do the same.
